I too love the crack...and reminds me about cracked pottery..without cracks light cannot get through. I just cannot get used to wearing glasses, and love doing mono-vision. One contact only....you might see if it is an option for you. It takes a bit adjustment, but once that curve passes, it is great.
I bet that crack means it's a loved cup and one that's been used lots...sweet memories, uh...Glasses are a pain but for me a necessary part of life....
